FIFTIETH STREET station is very similar to Astor Place station, and like that station, was recently renovated to improve its overall appearance. New large mosaics along the theme of "Alice in Wonderland" have been installed, and the walls along the extensions of the platforms harmonize with the original walls. A "50TH ST." name panel, similar to the one at Astor Place station, is barely visible in the upper center of the photograph. |
