The following two photos show the manhole at the intersection of Court Street and Atlantic Avenue down which one descends to enter the tunnel. Bob Diamond is the man in the center in the second photo.

These photos were taken in the tunnel itself.


The wooden framing was added after the "rediscovery" of the tunnel.




The black specks on the red bricks are original locomotive soot.


The hole in the bricks is from an attempt earlier this century to break into the tunnel.
