Fisherman's Cove is just north of a couple of small fishing villages
on the beach. Don suggested we walk down and explore on our own. When
we arrived in the villages we were surrounded by men who were eager to
tell of the damage caused by the tsunami of Dec. 2004. Several concrete
structures along the beach had been ruined. We spent about 15 minutes
walking along the narrow paved alleys inside the town, ducking under
clotheslines and dodging kids (both human and goat). After a bit we
headed back to the resort, with a crowd of men following us, some
asking for money.
