Nara was my last official tourist stop of the trip, but I was looking
forward to seeing the large wooden hall visited previously by my dad
and sisters, the Daibatsuden, the largest wooden building in the world
they say. Nara is a relaxing place with lots of open space, and on the
Sunday of my visit it was only a little crowded with well-mannered
tourists from Japan and abroad.
