Tiradentes historic train

For me the highlight of the trip was riding the historic train from Sao Joao del Rei to Tiradentes, a 35 minute trip full of blasts from the whistle and cheering schoolkids. It rained a little, but the damp air only added to the old-time steam train atmosphere. The next few pages show the action on the train line, beginning at the turntable at Sao Joao del Rei, then along the right of way, then at the turntable at Tiradentes. The engines (Baldwin models), rolling stock, and the narrow gauge line are all preserved from the 1880s.
