Elaine and Mark visit China in Spring 2011: Elaine and Mark
spent two weeks in China, mostly hanging out with me in a grand tour
of China's culture and history, especially in Central China. We
started in Beijing with the Great Wall, then took the train to Xi'an,
capital of China during the Han and Tang Dynasties. From there we went
to Hua Shan, one of China's great scenic mountains. Then we continued
via high-speed train to Kaifeng, the Song Dynasty capital of
China. Next we visited Luoyang and the Longmen Shiku (grottoes), then
greatest of the three great Buddhist cave complexes in China. Lastly
we visited the Shaolin Temple near Zhengzhou.
