Two Days in Dublin, January 2004

I paid a flying visit to Dublin for two days in January, hanging out with my friends Liz and Seth. We passed the time visiting historical sites and pubs, and playing hearts. The weather forecast called for rain the entire weekend, but I noticed only a slight drizzle one afternoon.

This photo shows Dublin Castle, former home of the viceroy and heart of English power in Dublin during the imperial period. We couldn't tour the state apartments because they are in use during Ireland's six-month turn at the rotating European presidency.
