Customs House, Rifer Liffey
The Vikings, or Ostmen as they called themselves, founded Dublin as a
trading port in the 900's. The Customs House is considered one of the
finest examples of Georgian (1700's) architecture in the city. During
the Easter Rising of 1916, the building was gutted by fighting between
the Irish and English. |
