Cordoba and the Mesquita

A quick high-speed train ride from Madrid takes you to Cordoba, home of one of the most famous mosques in all of Europe, the mesquita, now a cathedral. Cordoba was capital of Al-Andalus in the early period of Moorish Spain and the many-arched mesquita is one of its top three architectural remnants. This is the bell-tower and former minaret.
