Salamanca was the last stop of our Peninsular War tour. The battlefield south of town is fairly unchanged from what it may have looked like 200 years ago when Wellington and Marmont faced off under the two small bluffs surrounded by fields. Marmont's defeat here led to the British capture of Madrid shortly thereafter. Views of the battlefield of Salamanca and the city in the distance
