 On our way from Fisherman's Cove to the ancient temples of Mahabilipuram we could see stretches of beach and inland farmland that had been damaged in the 2004 tsunami. Some villagers had been relocated to refugee camps along the main north-south road. I think we were told that the refugees in this district had come from the badly damaged regions further south. |
